On 14 January 2022 Ambassador Annette Knobloch was received (in audience) by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Lao People's Democratic Republic, His Excellency Mr. Saleumxay Kommasith, to exchange views on the current state of the bilateral relations, established in 1958. Together they explored possibilities to intensify the future cooperation in the Lao People's Democratic Republic, resulting from the German and European engagement in the Indo-Pacific region.
